These community guidelines help ensure that NexPlumb remains a respectful, safe, and productive platform for all users. Everyone using our platform—homeowners, plumbers, and staff—is expected to follow these guidelines.

General Community Guidelines
- Be respectful - Treat all community members with courtesy and respect, even in disagreement.
- Communicate clearly - Be honest, transparent, and responsive in all communications.
- Protect privacy - Respect the privacy and personal information of others.
- No discrimination - Discrimination, harassment, or hate speech in any form will not be tolerated.
- Use the platform as intended - Do not attempt to circumvent our systems or use the platform for unintended purposes.
For Homeowners
- Provide accurate information - When requesting services, provide clear, truthful details about your plumbing needs.
- Respect plumbers' time - Be present for scheduled appointments and provide reasonable notice for cancellations.
- Provide fair reviews - When leaving reviews, be honest but constructive, basing feedback on the actual service provided.
- Maintain a safe environment - Ensure your home is accessible and safe for plumbers to work in.
- Use the platform for payments - Complete all transactions through NexPlumb to ensure protection for both parties.
For Plumbers
- Maintain professional standards - Provide high-quality workmanship and follow industry best practices and codes.
- Be punctual and reliable - Arrive on time for appointments and communicate promptly if delays are unavoidable.
- Provide transparent pricing - Be clear about costs upfront and explain any changes or additional charges.
- Maintain accurate qualifications - Keep licenses, insurance, and certifications current and accurately represented.
- Respect client property - Take care with clients' homes and belongings, leaving workspaces clean after service.
- Respond professionally to feedback - Address client concerns and reviews constructively and professionally.
Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited on the NexPlumb platform and may result in account suspension or termination:
- Harassment or discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or any other personal characteristic
- Fraudulent activity, including misrepresentation of services, qualifications, or identity
- Circumventing platform fees by arranging payment outside of NexPlumb
- Creating fake reviews or artificially manipulating ratings
- Sharing personal information of other users without consent
- Spamming or sending unsolicited commercial messages
- Performing work without proper licensing or qualifications required by law
- Using abusive language or threatening behavior toward any community member
Guidelines Enforcement
We take these community guidelines seriously and have a system in place to enforce them fairly. Violations may result in a range of actions, depending on the severity and frequency:
Warning
For minor or first-time violations, we may issue a warning explaining the violation and how to correct it.
Temporary Suspension
Repeated or more serious violations may result in temporary account suspension, during which you can't use our platform.
Permanent Ban
Severe violations or a pattern of repeated offenses may result in permanent removal from the NexPlumb platform.
Legal Action
In cases involving illegal activity, fraud, or serious harm, we may take legal action and cooperate with law enforcement.
Appeals Process
If you believe an enforcement action was taken in error, you may appeal the decision by contacting our Trust & Safety team at trust@nexplumb.com.
